Me funciona de maravilla para la administracion de permisos. Incluso de contenidos propios.
After reading many reviews and comments on this plugin, I was a bit nervous to add this to a client site, but after testing on two other dev sites, without issue, I'm almost convinced that this plugin is solid. I was looking for something to create a custom user role and limit access for that role to just one custom post type. This plugin did just that, but I had a tough time figuring out just how to do that. So for now, the 5-stars hold, and so does the plugin. My fingers are crossed.
One of my websites http://www.by-blickwinkel.de is still under coming soon mode, but I can confirm that plugin works with 3.9.1 without any problems.
One tip: would be nice to have a link to one of the tutorial videos on youtube :-).
This clearly helped for quick understanding.
This plugin is very essential for my purpose, restricting access to specific users / roles in detail. Of course, there are also lots of free plugins such as User Role Editor or Role Scoper. But AAM comprises all you need and is very easy to use.
One thing I do not like: You cannot see in one view which restrictions has been set. You have to scroll to all the menus and pages. This is reason to reduce from 5 to 4 stars.
The plugin works fine on the version of wordpress. The plugin is easy to manage
Apart from all the positive reviews, this plugin (free version) did not solved my problem (restrict posts, pages and categories by user/groups). I consider it a basic function for any called "access manager". Hiding the panel is cool, but just a feature, not an main function. The plugin admin interface is kinda confuse. Anyway thanks for the effort, but the free version needs to get better.
This is the plugin from hell. I installed it, it removed my plugins section (I get "access denied" for mysite\wp-admin\plugins.php)now I can't remove the thing not add/modify any other plugins. Also did a lot of other weird things. No support from the authors. Site is still working, but to get rid of this piece of crap I'm going to have to basically redo the whole site. Stay away from this thing, I'm sure there are a lot of other user manager plugins available that will not cause you any grief. I give this thing -1stars (tats negative one)
the only critics will be the Adminstration UI who are not so intuitive
