AddThis provides the best sharing, social, recommended content, and conversion tools to help you make your website smarter.
After deleting the plugin, the following stayed on my website and I am unable to determine how to remove it in the source code. I went through all the source code to locate the issue. While it appears on the surface that it isn't there after I removed the plugin, the source code tells a very different story and this code adds about 256KB. Here's what every page has when I click view source from the browser.
I recommend not installing this plugin!
Very good plugin with easy configuration. I love it. Thank you so much guys :)
I have been using 'addthis' for several years now and have never experienced any issues.
I recently updated to 4.1.1 and found that the toolbar had disappeared from my website. I contacted support and within the hour everything was working again. Thanks to Matt who explained how to resolve this. Very good and flexible plugin with very good support.
I personally prefer to use addthis.com and this plugin,
is a easy interface and you can get a handful of stuff into it,
ofc - one critic is - not controlled via WordPress admin interface, somehow it is good and a plus point to me,
I've integrated the latest version 4 of the plugin with one of my plugins and it's been very easy to work with. They require to register an account and offer free and premium versions of the widgets.
I don't mind making an account on the AddThis site, but removing Settings control from my WP Dashboard defeats the purpose of a plug-in.
You deserve to get paid for your work via Pro accounts, but even small, basic, under-the-post Share buttons now require me to add code manually to my WP pages. The whole reason for a plug-in is to avoid manual coding. So why am I still using AddThis? Well, I'm not. Uninstalled.
You messed up a good thing.
*Well hell... posted with 4 stars selected when I meant to post only 1. Can't seem to edit that. Doesn't matter. AddThis is still uninstalled.
I have used the AddThis Share and AddThis Follow on multiple website using multiple themes. It works great and the support is wonderful too!
Why do they allow this plugin to get away with murder goes beyond me.
Enough customization options and still easy to configure, thank you!
