Infinite Loop - really?
By , for WP 4.1.1

SO incredibly frustrated on 3/19/15. Spent HOURS trying to figure out why all of a sudden my high traffic wordpress sites would not load. Had to install Firefox, load Firebug, and learned it was this plugin that all of a sudden brought everything down.

I lost revenue, hours, and got a big headache from this. Can't believe this was the culprit.

I am going to try the new version since I need this feature and it says the infinite loop is fixed, but proceed with caution.

It does not work at all.

Use to work fine, but slowed my website too much

It use to work great. However, since I turned on the GZip compression and started using CloudFlare on my website, this plugin has broken my website to be super duper slow to load.

Page gets stuck on the homepage. However, the rest of the pages load just fine.

This issue is particularly on the Front Page and the Categories. Doesn't occur on the Posts.

Kindly fix asap.

What the hell?

I've used AddThis before, but now I'm totally dissapointed by it. 1 star is too much for this plugin. Too bad I can't rate it with a half star. It can't be called a plugin.

The new update sucks.

I was very pleased with the plugin untill the last update... Now, I have to look for another one. Unfortunatelly the latest version ruins my website.

I don't want the new options and dashboard, ruined the whole site

Well, don't have a lot to say about it, a lot of previous work (and customization) down the drain, will not use this tool anymore.

Completely Messed UP

As of 3.5.9 this was so easy to install as a widget. Now it doesn't come with a widget AND it makes me log in to AddThis. I will just keep using 359 until it doesn't work any more and then I won't use AddThis any more.

OK but room for significant improvements

We recently moved from some basic hard-coded sharing buttons in our theme files to Addthis Pro. Certainly I like all of the different options Addthis pro offers, but the plugin doesn't work anywhere near as well as it should.

The #1 issue I've come across is that the plugin lets you check a box on pages and posts to determine whether or not the sharing buttons should show up on that page/post.

Unfortunately, it appears that many of our posts publish with that option unchecked, even though I know our authors are not touching it. That checkbox should be on by default and ONLY turned off in rare circumstances in which we need to keep the page sharing-button-free.

Seriously Addthis, you guys can do better. We're a paying customer and expect you to use the revenue from our subscription and the money you receive from others to ensure that your product is of the highest quality. Please clean up the issues I and others are experiencing and I'll stick with you. Unfortunately, if we keep experiencing these issues and the quality of your plugin doesn't appear to improve in the coming months, we'll have to consider other options. For now, I am going to have to review all newly published posts to see if the buttons are showing up, and if not, I'll have to turn them on manually. I don't want to have to keep doing this.
