AddThis provides the best sharing, social, recommended content, and conversion tools to help you make your website smarter.
I was very pleased with the plugin untill the last update... Now, I have to look for another one. Unfortunatelly the latest version ruins my website.
Well, don't have a lot to say about it, a lot of previous work (and customization) down the drain, will not use this tool anymore.
As of 3.5.9 this was so easy to install as a widget. Now it doesn't come with a widget AND it makes me log in to AddThis. I will just keep using 359 until it doesn't work any more and then I won't use AddThis any more.
We recently moved from some basic hard-coded sharing buttons in our theme files to Addthis Pro. Certainly I like all of the different options Addthis pro offers, but the plugin doesn't work anywhere near as well as it should.
The #1 issue I've come across is that the plugin lets you check a box on pages and posts to determine whether or not the sharing buttons should show up on that page/post.
Unfortunately, it appears that many of our posts publish with that option unchecked, even though I know our authors are not touching it. That checkbox should be on by default and ONLY turned off in rare circumstances in which we need to keep the page sharing-button-free.
Seriously Addthis, you guys can do better. We're a paying customer and expect you to use the revenue from our subscription and the money you receive from others to ensure that your product is of the highest quality. Please clean up the issues I and others are experiencing and I'll stick with you. Unfortunately, if we keep experiencing these issues and the quality of your plugin doesn't appear to improve in the coming months, we'll have to consider other options. For now, I am going to have to review all newly published posts to see if the buttons are showing up, and if not, I'll have to turn them on manually. I don't want to have to keep doing this.
I've integrated the latest version 4 of the plugin with one of my plugins and it's been very easy to work with. They require to register an account and offer free and premium versions of the widgets.
Free version is fairly middling compared to other offerings, and Pro price of $12/mo or $99/yr is laughable. Not ha-ha funny.
Thank you for all the good times, but for whatever reason, you've changed so much I don't even recognize you anymore..
you used to be so considerate and compromising... yet now you've compromised our marriage by focusing so much on monetary gains... you've gained so much weight that cohabitation has become too unbearable.
I've already moved on and found a new partner in Simple Share Buttons Adder... unlike you, it is slim, simple, undemanding, and unobtrusive.
You may keep the goldfish.
Hate this plugin. Had to reset the options database because of this plugin. It screwed up the Google Adsense plugin which can be found here.
What a piece of work.
If you need to ever reset your database, use this.
Thanks for the horrible plugin!
i don't see where i can config addthis for posttype (i want show it in this page, don't show in that page... ) why, why you do that?
This is a joke.
