Makes local copies of all the linked images in a post, adding them as gallery attachments.
The exact instructions are:
- Create a new post, and add a link to a test image (such as one on your Flickr account).
- Now click the "Save Draft" button.
- If your editor is in HTML mode, you will see that the SRC attribute has changed.
- If not, you can click on the Add Image icon and you will see a new image has been added to the Gallery for this post.
But when I pasted the link, it just laid there and did nothing. No picture appeared, and no image was added to the gallery.
So if it is 2015 or later, you should probably look for another plugin.
How can I say more?
This plugin is awesomely perfect!
It helps me save a lot of time!
thank you very much!
if you woulde like to include pages replace:
externimg_backcatalog() function), and you should see a line like:
$pp = get_posts( array( 'numberposts'=>-1 ) );
$pp = get_posts( array( 'post_type' => array('post', 'page'), 'numberposts'=>-1 ) );
But this plugin is good at all. sometime it damages post img url .
This brilliant plugin is the only way to quickly import images from a wordpress.com blog, as the import plugin is broken. Thank you for a truly unique and genius piece of software. I shall be rewarding you.
I have lost time to find this plugin, great that I found, thanks a lots.
This plugin works great at long as you are on the post edit screen in wp-admin. If you are adding posts any other way ( wp-cron, iPhone app, etc ) you will get a fatal error that seems only to resolve by removing the plugin directory. It is a rather simple fix however. See my forum posts at
After this is resolved the plugin deserves 5 stars for functionality
