The plugin does what it says and works very well.

I had previously written a very negative review, but I have changed it now. The reasons for it can be seen below.

Original review

After its last update, this plugin stopped working.

The comments area disappeared. It kept showing a pink background message "Param numposts must be a number less than or equal to 100"

So, I went to its settings and in the "Comments plugin" tab set the number of post to 100 (it was in 1000, before). It did not solve the issue: The message disappeared, but the comments area was not back.

I set, then the number of posts in less than 100. Same issue.

Since on our site there are more than 100 posts, I am starting to suspect this not paid version of the plugin has a limit of post to be used. After it, it just disappears from the site. IF THIS IS SO, it is stated NOWHERE.

I tried to go to the support forum, but there is no help there unless you pay. Since I don't know whether the problem will be fixed (you can read other reviews of people who paid and didn't get a straight answer), I don't feel like paying.

So, basically, do not add this plugin to your site unless you don't mind paying for support you don't know it's going to work.

My last post after the answer of the author and some updates of the plugin

Since the original issue described in my original review is not happening any more, I am changing my review to a more positive one.

Besides, Marcel Bokhorst took the time to answer to this review, and the apparent "pay if you need help" was clarified.

The plugin has had some updates since I reviewed it, and now it works just perfect on the site (http://www.curicoalbirrojo.cl).

I recommend its use, and I am considering upgrading.

Epic. And fixing it was going in circles. I'm not sure who wrote the instructions but I've now taken a cultural tour of Failbook's Developer Department and have the start of a migraine.

Do you think they can hire someone there who knows how to write instructions clearly? Google was a snap but their instructions were clear with screenshots.

Failbook is not worth the bother so I quit and removed the plugin. It seems so far every FB plugin I have tried has had the same instruction problems.

Works well

I've been using add link to Facebook for over a year now for a volunteer/community organization website. Generally the plug-in works great, but how Facebook treats the posts it makes is somewhat disappointing.

My situation may be unique, so I'll describe setup for purpose of review. This is not a technical question. I have my group page attached to my personal Fb profile. The plug-in handles this wonderfully and posts to the correct page as required.

But when I look at the Page Insights on Facebook, the "automatic" posts receive a fraction of the views (reach) compared to posts typed in directly on Facebook's web interface. I don't think this is a bug in the plug-in, but rather Facebook demoting certain types of posts made by apps as part of their algorithm.

The app works fantastic. Replies on Facebook come back as comments on the posts. I highly recommend it.

I've been using this for most of a year now, and it's working just fine. Timely, helpful responses from developer :)
