"Add From Server" is a quick plugin which allows you to import media & files into the WordPress uploads manager from the Webservers file
I had a large file to upload and GoDaddy imposed a file size limit, so I uploaded my large file via FTP - but then, how to get that file into the WordPress Media library? GoDaddy support didn't know (though they did help me increase the upload limit quite significantly)! Luckily I came across this plugin and it allows you to add the file to the WP Media Library. Great stuff!
Used it to navigate up a few directories to another site on a shared server and pull over the MP3s. Worked fantastically!
As the title says, this plugin does what it says it does and never gives us any problems from version to version. Kudos to the developer and thank you for your contribution.
http is not ftp
Don't use chopsticks to shovel sand: get this plugin.
This was the third or fourth plugin I tried and it worked like a charm!
This plugin solved the job perfectly of syncing my WordPress database with the uploads folder that I'd moved from another installation.
I had already moved files into the uploads directory. This plugin recognises that they are there and just includes them in the media library.
THIS just saved me a couple of hours of work! Thanks a bunch!
This plugin is just fantastic when importing hundreds of images to several different pages/galleries.
I had trouble uploading large mp3 files to the media library and this simple wonderful plugin solved it beautifully!!!!
Thank you very much!!! :)
I'd rather not need a plugin like this, but let's face it, sometimes migrations don't go the way we need! And in a pitch, this plugin is a great, albeit laborious, solution. Two thumbs up.
This has solved my problem of uploading larger files, and it works perfectly!
Excellent work and please keep it going! I'm glad it's development has continued since I read a forum thread on it from 4 years ago!!
