 * I tried the Adminimize plugin and this really does what I was looking for:
 * I could disable the “add new” button from the menu for the users/roles I didn’t
want to see this, which also automatically restricts the user to use this button
   on the page list/edit page.
What I really liked was that you can add id, selection
or class of the element you want to disable, which I did with the add new button
class on the page list and edit page. This way the button doesn’t „exist“ for
the users/roles to add new page on the list and edit page.
 * Thank you, this really helped!

 * Hello [@shariqkhan2012](https://wordpress.org/support/users/shariqkhan2012/)
   thanks for your reply.
 * I already use a content/page restricting plugin (and also tried other kinds of
this) but none of them can disable the “add new” page/post button for any users/
   roles.
 * Is this functionality not possible in WordPress no matter which role the user
   has?

 * Thank you for your fast reply!
 * This works great if the user would always choose the new added page as a child
   page.
 * Right now I would have to tell the user to always check the “new page” as child
page to a parent page. Not a problem for me but for the customer/user who maybe
could forget to do this and create a parent page instead. This then could be
   viewed by every role…
 * But there is no way to disable the “add new” button on the page list/ edit page?

 * I found out that the revised copies also don’t inherit the categories/tags of
   the original post/page.
 * They behave like complete different pages/post – so of course the other plugin/
restricted groups don’t recognize this and allows every group/user to see this.
 * Is there the possibility to add some kind of behavior to the revised copies so
they recognize and inherit this taxonomies (tag/category) of this pages and post?
 * That would be really helpful!

    thank you
   for your reply.
 * I assigned this pages categories and restricted them to their groups. But in
the page list I can see that the revised copies of this pages don’t inherit the
category/tags from the original post. So they behave like complete different
pages which of course allows the other groups to see this.. The copies also don’t
have any option to tag or categorize them on the pages.
 * Thank you for your help. I didn’t think about to look at this taxonomies and
   compare.
 * I will also describe this problem the plugin owner and maybe he could give me
a solution or someone who is experience in editing plugins/extend them on this
   part..
 * If someone else has some kind of idea I would be very grateful!
