Hi @dhilm001, thank you for your response to my review here.
It’s very sad to hear that no one responded to you from this plugin.
Just to clarify things from my end here:
Firstly, I worked on the staging site of your website and spent many hours integrating this plugin there and it worked smoothly for me for the time I spent testing it.
Then, if you remember, there were many changes to the original scope I gave you my estimate for. Eventually, after around 3 months of discussion, we could not proceed with the project. During that time, I spent a lot of hours (unpaid) to test the plugin as I mentioned above and made sure that it fits your website environment before we proceed.
What I tested and worked on was correct. It sure required custom development to implement new features as requested in your original scope.Finally, after 3 months, I referred you to this plugin owner because I was completely booked before we could start the project. I thought that they would respond and help you better with the project since they are the developers of the plugin. I can only refer you to someone but I cannot guarantee it will work out or not.
I wrote to you a message referring to the plugin’s developers and also mentioned that if you have any questions for me, you can let me know anytime. However, I didn’t receive any answer from you so I thought everything is fine.
Again, I’m very sad and sorry to hear that it didn’t work out for you and that you received no responses.
@jdembowski thank you for the message. I will avoid using tags in the future. Just added them as I saw the field.

You are right. This user’s profile is just 4 days old. So it pretty much seems that he’s created this account only to give you (PDF Embedder) a negative feedback.
I’m surely one of your most happy users, I used this plugin on one of my client’s site that was even using a 3rd party theme and it worked great.
Thanks again for your great product and continued support. π

In reply to: [PDF Embedder] AWFUL ***DO NOT DOWNLOAD***None of these reasons are appropriate to leave a 1 star review. These are more likely features (which I believe this plugin provides great and exactly as mentioned) and not issues. If you like to a see a feature, it’s best to get in touch with the developer and suggest him these features.
I’m sorry to say, but your review seems fake.
Hey there,
You can create a custom page template to achieve that. Try following this article: https://upthemes.com/blog/2011/07/how-to-build-a-custom-page-template-for-blog-posts/
Thanks!

In reply to: Change color of text when clicking on linkFor header text, use this CSS code instead:
#main-nav a:focus, #site-title a:active { color: #ff0000; }
Replace #ff0000 to your desired color.

In reply to: Change color of text when clicking on linkHey,
Try adding this CSS code in your site:
#main-nav a:focus { color: #ff0000; }
You can replace #ff0000 with your desired color (generate hex color codes from here).
If you don’t know where to add CSS code, don’t edit the theme files directly, otherwise your changes will be overwritten whenever the theme is updated.
An easy way to add custom CSS is to install the Jetpack plugin and activate the Custom CSS module. You’ll then add your custom CSS in the new stylesheet editor that’ll appear in your dashboard, under Appearance > Edit CSS.
As alternatives, you could either install a standalone custom CSS plugin, or create a child theme.
Thanks!

In reply to: Help! Shortcode creates error – links not workingHi there,
Looks like you are using shortcodes to output post URL. That shortcode is not generating the URL and instead being outputted as normal text (see: http://prntscr.com/8rbx64). This happens if the plugin that is generating those shortcodes is not activated in your site.
If you have any inactive plugin under “Plugins > All Plugins”, try activating it and seeing if the issue resolves.
Thanks!

In reply to: Pop up helpI’ve seen some JS errors in your website. Let’s do some tests. You could try deactivating all the plugins and seeing if the issue remains. If it is fixed, you can narrow down the conflicted plugin by reactivating all your plugins one by one.
Other than that, you could also try contacting you plugin’s developer (if it’s not by your theme developers).
Thanks!

In reply to: Pop up helpThere seems to be a few JavaScript errors in your website: http://prntscr.com/87644y. That’s the reason the close button is not working. I’d advise contacting your theme and/or plugin developer with regard to the issue.
Cheers!

In reply to: Pop up helpHi,
It looks like the code is added correctly but not taking priority over default styling. Try replacing the CSS code with following:
@media only screen and (max-width: 980px) { .mc-modal { top: 90px !important; } }
This should work. π
Cheers!

In reply to: Pop up helpHi,
It looks like the navbar is covering up the close button on mobiles. If the theme you are using has the option to add custom CSS code, add following CSS to move the close link down a little:
@media only screen and (max-width: 980px) { .mc-modal { top: 90px; } }
It should resolve the issue and the modal should appear something like this: http://prntscr.com/86xweb
Cheers!
Hi David,
Thanks for adding your reply!
I didn’t notice that, is it the same plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-smushit/? If so, I’ll be happy to give it a try again. Will leave my review and rating for it.
