 * Never mind, resolved it. I just had to change the category base to ‘topics’ and
   tag base to ‘tagged’.

 * Couple of days back I deleted all the categories and tags and re-added each of
   them again but to no avail.

 * I’ve deactivated all the three plugins I use and changed my theme to twenty-fifteen.

 * I’ve just added the Categories wingets on the right. Clicking on any of the categories
   is the same result. All posts appear on the screen.
