Hey Iorro, thanks for sticking with me to try and help.

I don’t need to show more than products using a shortcode in a blog post. The issue is: each time I use a product shortcode, it looks stretched on the desktop, because the desktop default is set to 4 columns. The mobile default is 1 column, which looks perfect.

When I change the setting to 1 column, it works on desktop ok, but changes the mobile to 2 columns(??). When I change the setting to 2 columns. It looks perfect on desktop, but again 2 columns does not work on mobile.

I want to change the product shortcode default to 2 columns in desktop and keep it at 1 column in mobile.

Does this make sense? Apologies for the confusion, I think I was confused myself – now I think I at least understand the problem.

In any blog post on theurbanupgrade.com/blog , there is a product shortcode. If you view the shortcode output first in mobile, then desktop, the issue is clear.

Thanks again for sticking by me.

I haven’t created one in any posts, but I think the shop directory has 4 product blocks side by side in desktop by default at:

Yeah I really like how it looks on small device widths – Mobile is great. It’s desktop where I’m not happy.

The default on mobile is to display the card in one column which is great. The default on desktop is 4 columns – it’s way too many and makes it look hella stretched on desktop, it’s basically unreadable. Does that make sense?

I’d like to change the number of default columns in desktop only to 1 or 2.

    Hi Iorro,

Thank you so much for trying to help. Here is a page with two products, the wood watch and the world map watch: http://theurbanupgrade.com/trending-watches-in-2018/

Can you help me with the custom CSS media query?

I changed the shortcode to: [products ids=”990″ columns=”1″]

1 column in desktop works OK, however awful in mobile because its showing 2 columns there.

I want 1 column in desktop and 1 column in 2 mobile. Anyone any ideas?
