Frederick are you part of the w3tc team? * My understanding is that W3TC is a very powerful tool – but kind of heavy. Maybe for my needs (a site with 100 UV a day on average) it is not required to have such a plugin… * Now im quiet happy with the speed of my site. Im building another site, and I also saw the same pattern – much slower with w3tc enabled. I laos changed my theme, to pick up a more performant one. I don’t have that much traffic at the moment anyway – on average 100 visits a day, some days 1000 but very unfrequently… I’m planning to grow my audience, but is W3TC really that useful? If I try via pingdom.com its 6s or more, and If check my google analytics metrics, its even 13s on some pagess… so which software/webapps should I believe? Yes, I’m using W3 Total Cache. Nicolas.
