 * I still have the MAJOR CONCERN about the custom theme and removal of the string
   issues, so I’ll repeat my questions below. Thanks Ammu Themes for the code for
   adjusting the header. Rather than add the plugin, can I achieve the same objective
   by adding the code to the custom.css file via cpanel/File Manager?
 * **REPEAT OF ORIGINAL REQUESTS FOLLOWS**
    Several years ago I obtained the Tribune
   theme (WPZoom) as part of a package from Authority ROI. I was not happy with
   that theme, so I had a contractor customize it. Since the theme had been customized,
   I was afraid to apply WPZoom updates. Is that a legitimate concern? Without the
   updates, can I expect future problems? If so, what kind of problems?
 * Also, I want to reduce the height of the header in my customized Tribune theme
   without encroaching on my logo and tagline. I found some code in the Forum that
   MAY work but I don’t know if it is correct or where to place the code. Please
   tell me how to make the change and provide the exact code. My test website is
   testing.laughandheal.com.
 * Finally, I want to remove the string ‘Authority: ‘ from the tagline. The contractor
   must have hardcoded the tagline because it does not show in the tagline parameter
   of the theme. I ran a search of the public_html folder for the string but to
   no avail. Please tell the file folder or file where I might find the string.

   Thank you very much.
 * Regards,
    Steve

 * Hello,
 * I want to add a name and email address field to my comments area at the bottom
   of my posts and make those fields required. I checked the box on the discussion
   settings labeled “Comment author must fill out name and e-mail ” for my WordPress
   site but only the email address field shows. Please tell me how to make the name
   field show and be required.
 * Thank you very much!

 * Hi,
 * In my WordPress Admin setup I have the following two companion captcha plugins:
   Captcha, Really Simple Catcha. Please tell me how to do the following:
    1. Locate
   the captcha code and captcha code entry slot above the Send button 2. Display
   the message for the “Title for Captcha in the form” on the Contact form. Currently
   message not displayed. 3. Display the captcha code, the message for the “Title
   for Captcha in the form”, and the captcha code entry slot together in a more
   user-friendly manner. Currently the Send button, catcha code, and entry slot
   are in the following order:
 * Send button
 * captcha code
 * entry slot

 * I am confused about the response I got from cloisel versus from support team
   of my hosting company. Below are their responses, followed by my original request.
   Please tell me which of the two responses are correct. Thank you! Steve
 * MY ORIGINAL REQUEST
    I need to have my site upgraded to the latest version of
   WordPress (4.0.1). That website has custom code, developed by a contractor, with
   major modifications to the Wpzoom Tribune theme. The WordPress version currently
   used for testing.laughandheal is 3.8.5. I have not updated the permalink structure.
   Please list the high-level steps of an approach for the upgrade so I can intelligently
   evaluate detailed bids from contractors.
 * CLOISEL’S RESPONSE
    Theme files will be unaffected, it is core files that will
   change (Anything in the wp-admin and wp-includes directories). If there are modified
   core files you need to: 1) Never use that contractor again, and 2) figure out
   what modifications have been made so they can be rewritten to work with the new
   version.
 * HOSTING COMPANY TEAM RESPONSE (English grammar not the best)
    Also please note
   when you upgrade the wordpress version there no changes affects on wp-contents
   and settings related to the same.
 * Until and unless you wont make changes in .css files. Also make sure with developer
   that there is no changes have been done apart from wordpress theme files.

 * Thank you for taking time to reply. However, there is the following warning on
   that webpage that motivated me to post to this forum and get some detailed advice
   on how to proceed with the upgrade.
 * WARNING: The upgrade process will affect all files and folders included in the
   main WordPress installation. This includes all the core files used to run WordPress.
   If you have made any modifications to those files, your changes will be lost.
