It is under **Settings** -> **General Settings** -> “**Play a sound when a new message is received**” * There isn’t any way to disable the sound on client side only and we normally avoid suggesting users to make any changes in the code of the plugin as it could easily break functionality (and will also be overwritten during update). It will only work in the scenario I mentioned in my previous post which is a whole page restriction. * By default the chat box is shown on all pages. The user has the option to show it only on specific pages. So if you specify/allow a page but hide the shortcode, it will still render because the configuration of the plugin is per page.
