By the way nagging notifications and pop ups are a NO-NO for WordPress plugins TOS but they don’t really seem to care. * Forum: [Plugins](https://wordpress.org/support/forum/plugins-and-hacks/) In reply to: [[RSS Aggregator - RSS Import, News Feeds, Feed to Post, and Autoblogging] Disastrous Update to V5](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/disastrous-update-to-v5/) * [wordmax](https://wordpress.org/support/users/wordmax/) * (@wordmax) * [6 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/disastrous-update-to-v5/#post-18714120) * Something sketchy went on with this plugin last year It’s almost like they sold it to another development team or they have new management they clearly don’t understand the importance of beta testing before major version updates It’s not that hard to run a plug in like this through its paces and check for bugs and errors before you release it and push it the users with the hopes that you’re going to get people to upgrade to the pro version it seems like a short term thinking money grab It would have been easy to get users like us to beta test on a demo production model since we’re already familiar with the ins and outs of this plugin all you had to do was reach out and offer free pro version for beta testing asking for feedback. Everything breaks. v4 was far better. What are the devs thinking? Pretty bad to pull the rug out from under users like this. We can use plugin like Ad Inserter or Code Snippets to insert text on search pages content, but it’s not working with the search results page, maybe since we are using the asl option to show the keyword search url like examplesite . com/?s=dlkjdlkjd * We have two sites with almost identical theme/plugin setup (blocksy free wp theme) and ASL plugin with same configurations (99% sure)… * One site shows the text “Sorry, but nothing matched…” below the H1 “Search Results for….” but oddly our other site does not show that text below the H1… * Search Results for dlkjdlkj * Sorry, but nothing matched your search terms. Can’t dismiss the “still using v4” admin notice by clicking the X close icon in top right of notice. * Test it and and see. Whatever. I assume each display created will also let the admin know which pages/posts the display is being shown on, so this way will be easy for admin to update content associated with the display if need be. You could let us have both the ability to create displays while also having the v4 ability in block editor (check box custom display) and then can add/subtract sources on the fly within the block editor while editing page/post.
