 * Resolved.
 * I had to:
 * sudo apt-get install php5.6-xml
    sudo apt-get install php5-gd sudo service apache2
   restar
 * The cryptic error messages are not appreciated (e.g. “Please activate the GD
   Image Library”) — I should *not* have to Google around to see what you want me
   to install. Instead, please provide a link, or the canonical command to try /
   package to install (referenced by its actual name in apt).
 * Otherwise, thanks for the prompt responses last week.

 * Didn’t work. What next?
 * I am scared to delete and re-install your app because I don’t trust that my existing
   galleries will still be there.
 * Also, when I do “Import from Media Library”, the In Progress bar just hangs,
   and does nothing.

 * Here’s some relevant output. I don’t think things are working:

 * Daniel:
 * Can’t get this to work for the life of me. Disabled plugins, disabled Lightbox,
   added in your code to the functions.php file, yet nothing happens. The images
   display in the original rudimentary grid when inserted as a gallery, and if clicked,
   link to either the attachment page or their own separate page with the image
   title, etc. In Settings–>Media, I just have the option of Black/White background,
   and Insert/Don’t Insert EXIF data.
 * How should I proceed?
