Hey @ptaubman,
These forums are for supporting only the free plugin hosted in the .org repo. For support with the pro version please use the contact form in your dashboard at the _my equalize digital_ site.
Hi @deeholzman
Sorry that you are having this issue and for the delay on replying here.
I just tested this in a development site and on a fresh site and am able to ignore issues without any problems on both of those sites. It sounds like you are perhaps seeing two different issues here though. The first is that the ignore isn’t working, the other is that you have fixed an issue that is not going away in the scan details, is that right?
Can you provide some details about your site so I can reproduce this? The plugin, WordPress, and PHP versions would be good to know. Also, if you have any other plugins you may feel are relevant that would be good to know about too.
It’s also worth you checking in the site health tab on your site to see if it flags any critical issues that could be interferting: https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/site-health-screen/
Hey @7thcircle,
Thanks for sharing that. It is the same list that I have on my system so my suspicions about what caused this for you were incorrect. I will need to create a GitHub issue for this and continue my investigations over there as part of our typical workflow. I discovered some php 8 quirks in one of the packages used for the scan which needs deeper consideration about how to tackle them.
It might be helpful for me if you were able to share the post content of the page that triggered this error so I can reproduce the error with the same data you are experiencing it with. If that post content is something you are not able to share here in the forums let me know.
You can follow along with the progress on github and please feel free to add any additional details to the issue or this thread if something relevant comes to mind. https://github.com/equalizedigital/accessibility-checker/issues/570
@7thcircle I have been looking into this issue and can only reproduce it so far in one unlikely situation. Are you able to provide me with the list of encodings on your system returned from running
mb_list_encodings();
so I can check if my investigations are on the right path. Thanks in advance!

Hey @dee987,
I am looking into this more today to try find a solution. For some situations where this occurs you can try to just resave a post and the message goes away but it seems like that doesn’t solve all cases.
Can you share some details about your system setup like WP, PHP and the plugin version you are using, with me, as it may help find the solution for this? Also, if you are using any specific security plugins, listing those as well may be helpful too.
Thanks in advance!

Hey @mymothersdaughter,
We just released version 1.10.1 with a change that should resolve this issue for you. It is caused by the RewardStyle plugin using loading icons that were scheme-relative and we had not accounted for those when checking animated gifs. We account for that now in the plugin checks so you should have no issue saving posts that have RewardStyle shortcodes in them.
If you spot this issue again let us know and we can revisit but I think what was just released should solve this issue for you.
Hey @sc0ttkclark,
We just released version 1.10.1 that includes a code change that should fix this for you. You may need to update or re-save a post before it calculates the density correctly as seeing this error means that something saved that data incorrectly before.
If you spot this issue again let us know and we can revisit but I think what was just released should solve this issue for you.

Hi @7thcircle,
Could you test if you are able to update a post on one of the sites and see if the password protected message goes away on that site after a post update?
Also, if you could share the plugin version, WordPress version, and PHP version, that would help us to try to find the cause of this for you.
Also just to confirm you do not have any plugins on the site that might impliment any form of password protection, do you?
Hey @mymothersdaughter,
Thanks for reporting this. From the log messages you shared, I can see why this might happen and have been able to reproduce it on a test site. We will work on a fix. I can update you when we know that the fix is going out so that you can double-check that it is resolved on the site that you are managing.
Thanks again for letting us know!
I am seeing the same issue that is noted by spidiman above. I will send an email to the address listed above with more details.
Hi,
The plugin is legitimate, I just stumbled upon it myself and verified that 🙂
Hi @mihaiimagely, I am glad that it is still expected in an update soon, thank you for the reply.
If my vote can make a difference to how critical this is considered then I would like to place a vote on it being expedited. The code changes are trivial to make (under 30 minutes of a developers time – I verified such changes myself, all that is needed is to add some brackets around small code blocks and it introduces no backwards compatibility breakages).
The benefits are an increased userbase that will not suffer from PHP warnings (and failing code as the ternaries used in the plugin which are not compatible do not function with PHP 7.4).

I am waiting on this next update as NGG is the only remaining blocker for us moving to PHP 7.4. Is there any update available for the ETA of that release?
I would STRONGLY recommend that nobody disables error logging on their system as a way of dealing with PHP compat warnings.

In reply to: [WP Activity Log] No record of plugin deactivation eventHey @aberbenni,
Thanks for reporting this, we have some planned reworks to detection of activate/deactivate/install for the plugin soon that might address this issue. I am not certain why it was not detected but will investigate possible causes.
The link you shared here goes to a 404 for me so I can’t see the additional details just now.
You could email those extra details to support@wpwhitesecurity.com if they contain any private information.
Thanks again for reporting this.
