Yes, thanks Martin. It appears that QFI can only be activated/deactivated from Calypso interface. All preferences and use of the plugin seem to require access from the WPadmin interface.
In Calypso, navigating to manage plugins and then to QFI gives access to a Settings button for QFI, but that redirects to WP-admin. Perhaps worth adding to your FAQ or plugin instructions something that says it only works when accessed from WPadmin interface, not from Calypso.
In Calypso, URL when I reach QFI is https://wordpress.com/plugins/quick-featured-images/textiletrails.com.au
As soon as I click on Settings, I am transferred to WP admin:

In reply to: [Safe SVG] Plugin not workingI thought Calypso was supposed to save us time switching back & forth between sites. But now we spend time switching back & forth between Calypso and WP admin, and all the confusion that comes with keeping track of which interface we are using and what works where!
I’m finding features of plugins that are not available in Calypso, but some post editing functions won’t take effect until I do them in Calypso. I’m not enjoying all this bouncing back & forth.

In reply to: SSL Certificate and SiteLock are not compatibleI don’t see any toll-free number to use to contact Bluehost from Australia. All numbers I see on their website are +1 (844) 213-784X plus a toll-free number to use from the US only. They don’t do call-backs – I asked last time I was on chat to them.

In reply to: Where to find widget info in backup files?I’ve also looked through the list of 14 files I removed when I was informed they were infected with malware, and one of this mentions widget:
/home2/textilg4/public_html/wp-includes/widgets/class-wp-widget-post.php: SL-PHP-BACKDOOR-GENERIC-anx.UNOFFICIAL FOUND
Could deleting that file have affected my widgets?

In reply to: Where to find widget info in backup files?BackWPup, which seems to give me mostly a file in sql. I also have all the public files from my Bluehost server which I had loaded into my laptop using Filezilla before removing 14 malware-affected files. I have used Kaspersky to disinfect/remove any problem files from that folder

In reply to: SSL Certificate and SiteLock are not compatibleI also lost most of my sidebar widgets, and might try to put them back first before I finish with the SSL

In reply to: SSL Certificate and SiteLock are not compatibleWe almost finished resolving this issue yesterday. Still to check: re-installing the SSL certificate and re-instating the redirect to Sitelock and then back to Bluehost. Watch this space to hear if it all still works once that is done.
Roger: I agree, I don’t think I will ever use Bluehost chat again! I need to check whether the toll-free number works if I am calling from Australia.

In reply to: SSL Certificate and SiteLock are not compatibleThat may not have bothered me so much if I hadn’t already spent almost 2 hours with Bluehost chat (I kid you not!) trying to solve the issue, on top of several other shorter sessions with Bluehost chat trying to work it out. I was there so long that the chat window failed (wouldn’t accept my messages any more) before it could be solved.
I actually gave up on Bluehost and am in the process of moving my site back to WP.com

In reply to: SSL Certificate and SiteLock are not compatibleSo when unattended, Sitelock’s chat can auto-send a greeting from a staff member who is not there? That’s a bit misleading, and I wasted 30 mins waiting for people who were likely not there at all.
