 * Hi, thank you for your explanation.
    I am willing to learn the new way, but it
   would be easier if there was a guide explaining how to “translate” old way of
   working to gutenberg. In particular, I praise the avoidance of php, but deeply
   regret that I could not find how to do the simple things described in my initial
   post 🙂

 * I am using the default 2022, with the bird.
    In previous versin of wordpress 
   I couls set the favicon or link the menu to categories independently of the theme–
   it is good practice to decouple functionality (navigation) from presentation (
   theme)
