 * That was quick. I had just updated the plugin but it was version 2.1 2. The 2.1.3
   version worked great! Thank you.

 * This is on my local machine – I am using version 7.1.9. I know, though, that
the live server where the site will be, still uses php version 5.* .
 * If this is a problem with php v. 7.*, and can’t be made compatible with both
this version and the old versions of php, that’s okay too. I will just put up
with the notice on my local machine. But I really would like to not see it.

 * There was a loop creating dozens of notices referring to an undefined offset
on line 1550 of wp-admin/includes/plugin.php. Could it possibly be due to some
incompatibility with the newest version of WordPress? I can’t give you the exact
wording, because I was running out of time so I gave up and removed the plugin.
I have since found another solution. Thank you.

 * Okay, now I see the login form. Unfortunately I am also seeing a lot of error
messagees (notices) coming from wp-admin\includes\plugin.php on line 1550 (undefined
offset). And I do not want the user to see the dashboard. I just want something
to allow the user to login in to a private members area. Thanks for your help
   anyways.

 * I added the short-code to the page. The site is a custom-coded theme that I developed
and does not use any plugins to build pages or page parts. My source code shows
the css but not the html for the login form.

 * [@gm_alex](https://wordpress.org/support/users/gm_alex/), I too would like to
see the plugin be updated to be compatible with the most recent version of WordPress.
I am getting the same Notice.

 * Hi. I have reset my permalink setting several times and it does not seem to make
   any difference.
Do you know anything else that might be causing this different
   URL to be used?

 * Not meaning to bump this thread, but I left out one piece of info – I tried using
a plugin to add a role, then gave it all privileges and just restricted the admin
menu to the Donations Plugin. But that role does not have permission to view
   the pages.

 * I did follow the proper steps and have done a manual update many times. But thank
you for pointing out the /wp-includes/version.php file. I wasn’t aware of it,
and when I checked, sure enough I really didn’t have the correct version. The
uploading of files must have gotten messed up. Everything worked this time around
   though. Thank you.

 * I see those tags in the source code, but have no idea where they are coming from.
This is what he put in the textarea for that item (except for the styling). There
are no empty lines, etc there.
