On the edit image screen choose “advanced” then enter 0 (zero) for the Border value…done. Yes, it is manual, but I like being able to choose which ones keep the border (I actually like it around the block photos)…not around transparent bg images, though. Manually you can use the advanced edit feature in visual mode. I have requested that a Twenty Ten child theme be installed in our Theme directory.
