 * Hi [@tammyt](https://wordpress.org/support/users/tammyt/),
    Thanks for the quick
   response. I see your side of this. And I am sorry this happened. I truly am.
   Thanks for letting us know that your host was able to get you all fixed up and
   running again.
 * It means a lot to us that you wrote, “I actually LIKE the plugin.” That is the
   main goal here.
 * About the professionalism and rudeness part, all I can say is that Andrea works
   6-8 hours a day answering 50-80 tickets a day and she really does her best. If
   you had the privilege to meet her in person, I guarantee you would agree that
   she is a great gal and a very hard worker.
 * So when I say that I am sorry this happened, I mean it. I know this was not personal
   from either of you.
 * Anyway, hey, if you would consider giving us a second chance, consider Andrea
   never intended to be rude, and consider accepting our sincere apology that this
   whole misunderstanding happened, that would really make my day. 🙂
 * And about changing your review, of course I would love that, but by no means
   expect it.
 * My goal here was to make sure our customers are happy.
    And it sounds like you
   are closer to happy than unhappy.
 * Thanks
    Jason Wiser

 * Hi [@luuk123](https://wordpress.org/support/users/luuk123/),
    Which version were
   you on? If it is pre 3.3.x then we are aware of the bugs that were in the plugin
   and we have committed a significant amount of resources to get things working
   again. Things were really tough there for a while in support, development, and
   updates and I assure you that this company has turned around.
 * We hope that you will consider trying it again and see if you can again, “like
   the plugin”
 * Thanks for the feedback

 * Hi [@harveyc99](https://wordpress.org/support/users/harveyc99/),
    You are right,
   we had a bad month back then. We had some code errors that really set us back
   and we have committed every resource to get things fixed.
 * I understand your rage and frustration. What happened – happened, and it should
   not have. We are truly sorry and I want you to know that we take full responsibility.
 * I can assure you that we had invested significant resources to guarantee that
   our customers will not experience this inconvenience again. I mean, we are human
   too, and we make mistakes, but we have taken every measure possible to ensure
   that you will not crash, you will be able to have hassle free updates, and you
   will again fall in love with the product.
 * Please accept our sincere apology.
 * Thanks

 * Tammy, I have reviewed the ticket support thread and I can see that Andrea, our
   support specialist, did an excellent job of trying repeatedly to resolve your
   issue. In order for us to provide support, we need your cooperation. She had
   sent a very detail list of steps that would fix your problem.
 * Our level of support can only go so far. We cannot be held responsible for your
   server and host provider.
 * I wish you would reconsider the one star review in the context of the full support
   that was provided to you from our staff. We too want to see the plugin working
   on your website.
 * Once you have had a chance to try the steps in the instructions, please let us
   know if they worked.
 * Thank you.

 * I have found a fix and now realize that the fault for the “cookies” error is
   not with this plugin. I will change my rating.
 * I spent several hours researching a solution when I found the support thread
   linked above which led me to believe it was this fault of plugin. Turns out it
   is a much bigger WP issue and not the fault of this plugin.

 * I have looked for several threads and this one from a Custom Login Author convinced
   me that a support topic was not necessary.
 * Pretty much says it all here. If a fix is found, I would love to use the plugin
   again.

 * Well there are times when the “related posts” are not related at all. Not sure
   why they are listed. But in all fairness, this happens most when there is not
   an obvious “related post”. I have had two clients that have asked me to fix it
   so that the posts that are displayed are more accurate, but there is nothing
   that I can do. I have adjusted the settings and I still see some issues. Do you
   want me to list sites for examples?

 * [Update] This turns out to NOT be the solution to the question “too many transient
   entries in the wp_options” table.
 * The real answer is that WP E-Commerce adds a transient entry every time someone
   visits the site, robot or human. So I discovered that my site was under attack
   from rogue bots, and they were hitting me 3 times a second for 1000’s of hits
   to my site.
 * every hit triggered a transient entry.
 * The real fix for this is to install some sort of protection from bot attacks
   like Install Login Security Solution plugin.
 * you can also run a script from your PhpMyadmin to clear all your transient files
   before you backup. something like
 * `DELETE FROM wp_options WHERE option_name LIKE '_transient%'`
 * Here is a quote from the WP E-Commerce Development team from a Gold Support ticket.
   they wrote
 * > WP e-Commerce creates a customer record for every visit. This strategy is,
   > admittedly, not optimal, but it works on the vast majority of shops. We didn’t
   > take into consideration bots as a major factor here. Currently we’re having

 * Having discussed this with another developer, it appears that because the “orders”
   pages are only displayed to those with access to the dashboard, the order information
   is protected with the same security as anything else behind the user login.

 * On my site I updated to AFG 3.3.5 and now it works perfectly with WP 3.4.2.
 * WP has 3.3.3 listed as the current version on plugins page at wordpress.org and
   that is the version you get when you add plugin from within site (as of today).
 * Thanks for your rapid response. Thanks for supporting your plugin.
