 * I downgradeded to 4.8.3 and disabled all plugins and get the same error. I now
   think it’s a problem on my hosting provider side. So it’s not resolved by not
   caused by wordpress, or a plugin as far as I can tell.

 * I can’t code but would love to see categories in this plugin, don’t really care
   if I have to mess up the website category structure to do so…

 * well, I didn’t have a test environment to test your suggestions so I had to set
   one up.
    I disabled all plugins except yours and used the 2017 theme. Still no
   luck. I tried in IE and chrome, cleaned caches etc.
 * When I press on the tab in help & settings the “.wivmtab” display: none; is not
   disabled. When I uncheck this style I do see the settings.
