 * Sign-up for a free PayPal (Premier) account and integrate either PayPal’s shopping
cart or “Buy Now” buttons into your 1.x WordPress. Not only would this be secure
but there are millions who love and trust PayPal. Probably your best option…

 * Another question on the “multiple blog” capability concept is, has anyone created
a front-end that automatically features current blogs within the system? This
functionality would allow a nice index page in root. Also, is there a sign-up
page that automates the sign-up and creation of a blog? I would like to offer
free blogs to those who publish content in a specific subject or genre. It would
not be open to all subjects (unlike the other free blog sites) but rather a community
that relates to a specific subject. Has anyone created this type of functionality
as a plug-in or hack for WordPress?
