At first it didn’t work on 3.9 but now it is. If you used spaces between file types allowed remove them and try it again. I can’t remember if my error was exactly like yours, but this fixed it for me. I have logged out of WP, cleared browser (chrome) of all history/cache/cookies, etc. closed and reopened browser multiple times and still no code on page source view. * Oops, my bad. After logged out, I would log back in after clearing everything. Once I viewed after staying logged out I saw it.
