 * Thanks so much, Nastia. It was user error on my end. I think what was happening
   was that I was experimenting by changing themes, and every time I activated a
   new theme, the content of the custom sidebar I’d created earlier (no the sidebar,
   but just what I’d put in it) went blank. So, even though the sidebar was there,
   it was empty. Now I’ve got the hang if it. Great plugin! Thanks for the quick
   response.

 * I just need some clarification. I have The Events Calendar, version 4.6.6, not
   the Pro version, and I see a previous event at the bottom of the new event page
   I just created. There is no “Hide Related Events” Checkbox under Settings > Display.
 * Are you saying I need to purchase the Pro version of The Events Calendar to turn
   off this function I don’t even want to use?

 * it broke all of mine too. The **Plain** Permalink settings do work, though:
 * [http://[domain]/?p=123](http://[domain]/?p=123)
 * One weird thing I saw just now while I was trying different Permalink settings
   is that several times the word “blog” appeared in all the Common Settings example
   URLs when it never had before. For instance:
 * [http://[domain]/](http://[domain]/)**blog/**2016/05/04/sample-post/
 * It’s no longer there now. Now that Day and name common setting shows as:
 * [http://[domain]/2016/05/04/sample-post/](http://[domain]/2016/05/04/sample-post/)
