I have the same problem. Using the free version 3.5.3. It used to work for a while and then some weeks ago I got emails from customers asking to send tracking number. The email logs show “… shipped via Unknown” and the is no link in the email. My site is on a shared hosting and apparently get certain slots for execution. The number of preloaded pages was never round by 10. This means that either each 10 pages take different times to cache or the time slots are different or both. This why I suggested a sort of adaptive batches. I found more commands via the CLI. Preload works now as expected! Well, at least as much as I manually clicked! Apparently muy hoster does not like long-running background tasks. Maybe a feature to add: watch where you stopped, decremented by one, and schedule for the next hour 😉 Are there some other nice command line tools? 😉 Thanks a lot for the help! I tried pretty much everything: resetting settings, reinstalling, different permutations of schedule duration, and cache lifespan, purge cache, etc, etc. * Currently, the Preload staus says “14 out of 227 URLs preloaded”. Last time it got stuck at 10. The time before, it once got to 20! It shows “Cancel” button and the status line changes on occasional basis but it stays stuck at the same level of 14 of 227… * What is wrong? * PS.
