 * I’m not super experienced with code. In my file manager I have a .htaccess and
also a .htaccess1 file. Which of these files do I add it to? And is there a specific
section I need to add it to, or just the end of the code?

 * I have found the .htaccess file, but there is also a .htaccess1 file. What is
   the difference between these?

the webp version being used on desktop but not on mobile

 * So I need to manually check every image size in PageSpeed to see if that image
   size has a webp version?

 * Like I said, the image I am referring to does have a webp version. However, you
said some images in every image group might not be webp. When I choose an image
size (i.e. 1024×1024, 768×768, etc.) how do i know which ones use the webp version?
 * Because even the images that do show a web version as existing do not show the
webp version being used in PageSpeed

 * How can I tell which images have a webp version? I would like all my images to
be webp. Is it better to use a lower resolution if it isn’t showing as webp,
or is it better to use a higher resolution version that is webp?

 * I have tried this, but ones that show as having a webp version in my Media library
show as no page found when I try to add .webp after the image link. I know the
webp version exists because in Litespeed Cache it shows that all images are optimized,
and in my media library, it gives me the percentage of space saved with the webp
version. I tried re-uploading some of my images and they are working properly,
but does that mean I need to re-upload all images to make the webp versions show?

 * Also, PageSpeed is showing that some of my images show up as WebP for desktop
version but not for mobile version

 * This is the page link, but the same thing is happening to all my pages. All but
one of the images show as having WebP versions, but PageSpeed Insights says otherwise.

 * Okay I do see the images in my library that don’t have a WebP version and I can
try to re-upload those. However, even the images that do have a WebP version
are showing in PageSpeed Insights as “serve images in next-gen formats”. So for
some reason this means they aren’t displaying the WebP even if the version exists.
How can I force my site to use the WebP versions? Do I need to delete the original
   versions to do this?
 * Also, can I use WebP versions for background images in Elementor?

 * I reached out to LiteSpeed cache, and they recommended I reactivate the plugin
and individually turn off all CSS and JSS settings, so that I could see which
one was causing the issue. Once I turned off CSS minify, I could see my icons
again in any workspace or browser

 * I disabled LiteSpeed cache, which got rid of the issue with the icons. Is there
another caching plugin that I can use that won’t cause this problem? I’m trying
to speed up the response time of my website, and all speed checkers say I need
to optimize images with a caching plugin
