In reply to: Site keeps switching back to default themeSome posts a while back indicate this may be variously a “mobile” plugin, or cache. Try a search for – ah, nev’ mind I see search can’t be bothered to work worth a shit as usual. Give me a few I’ll find something for you.
[Edit: okay, look through this one, there were some others, but can’t find them right now and search is NOT working, returns nothing even when I KNOW it should find the term *sigh*….]

In reply to: WordPress keeps removing paragraph tagsShould be a plugin around somewhere that turns it off. Try a search for “disable autop”.

In reply to: rssI’m pretty sure one post is sufficient:

And wp does come with inbuilt rss. I never use stuff like that so I can’t help you figure it out. You might try searching…. lots of posts about it last few months….

In reply to: WordPress breaks down after host installs php 5.2.1?Just as a comparative: my host provider installed php 5.2.1 on my reseller server this morning. I have half a dozen of my own blogs there (2.0.7) and about 25 client blogs ditto.
They’re all working perfectly…..

In reply to: Posts have no Body to them – Upgraded to 2.1Was a long shot…. I don’t have 2.1 installed anywhere so really don’t have any other ideas, sorry! Good luck….

In reply to: It’s ZoneAlarm — Gotta be…Oh, I (and others, and there are various threads on ZA’s forum – at least I think they’re still there) had problems with almost any php/mysql app that required login. Many people (moi aussi, of course) had trouble with simple graphics-loading on any site, no matter what “privacy” setting we used (and in my case, none at all – I deactivated the whole “privacy” thing, which didn’t help at all).
For instance, during the month I used ZA Suite, I could (with difficulty) access cPanel on my own and client sites – if I had 15 minutes PER SITE to waste while it loaded – and when it did load, there were NO GRAPHICS and half the links didn’t work; I also got continual “warnings” about phishing and insecure sites…. on my own reseller accounts…. under https:// addys.
And BTW, ZA refused to refund my payment for Suite, saying that “they weren’t at fault for sites which didn’t meet ZA’s security criteria, but which I insisted on visiting anyway”…. my own reseller https:// control panel? Oy….
Regardless, I just wrote that off as a loss this tax year. And regardless, I really love ZA’s free offering. It works just fine, doing exactly what it says it will do. If I didn’t have a hardware firewall, I might worry. But I do. So I don’t.

In reply to: Dashboard menu randomly changed? In the 2.0+ branch, wp-admin/wp-admin.css I believe; no clue in 2.1….

In reply to: WP not loading in Mozilla browsersGosh, I’ve never had any trouble with moz browsers and wp – going on 2 years now…. except for when Zone Alarm Suite did some wonky stuff that caused various problems.
Only problem I see on your link in FF 2.0.0.1 is that you need to do some serious css tweaking – the sidebar’s not where it should be….

In reply to: Page ChangesUm. I haven’t a clue how you edit other than download to your drive, then open in notepad, edit, then upload. If you’re trying to edit inside wordpress, you may need to hang on until someone who knows how that works is around.

In reply to: Adding class to A tag not LI on UL listsHmmm. Excuse me. You asked for some specific help with stuff that can be very specific to themes. So I told you to post the name of the theme you’re using, and probably post the specific code to the pastebin so folks can look it over.
And then you asked if “anyone converted a PVII menu to work with WordPress” – which I answered – honestly.
I don’t get it. But whatever. You don’t want to post what theme you’re using, and the relevant code to pastebin so people can look it over, fine.

Forum: Your WordPress
In reply to: **New** Usefulidiocy.comWell, actually, s/he posted exactly where s/he should have. That’s what the “your wordpress” forum is for. Whether anyone looked, or if they looked, felt inclined to post, is another situation alltogether.
Every time I’ve tried to load it, I’ve gotten a blank page….
