Could you try deactivating all other plugins except Email Subscribers and switch your theme to the default Twenty Twenty theme to check if the problem is resolved?

Email Subscribers’ Subscriber role is independent to WordPress roles and we’re not sure if the Members can handle Email Subscribers’ conditions and rules.
Can you please contact the Members plugin’s support team? Let us know what did they say so that we can raise a feature request to make it compatible.

Email Deliverability depends on various factors like domain, email server reputation, content and email server sending limits etc.
Most of times, Email Service providers like Gmail blocks emails sent through your WordPress setup if their sender email address (configured under Email Subscribers > Settings > General) is different.
To see what is causing the problem you are experiencing now, can you please share the following screenshots with us here?

Currently, it is not possible to target audience based on the keywords used in posts.You can create different post notifications targeting one or more lists based on the categories and post types to which posts belonged to.
However, we like the idea and forwarded it to our product management team to consider it as a feature request. We report a number of requests for each feature to help them prioritize our roadmap. While this is a feature our product managers are aware of, we don’t have any specific timeline for releasing it.

Yes, we have three different Workflow triggers for WordPress users. So you can create a workflow to update the Email Subscribers list when a user details are updated and another to remove from the subscribers list when he is deleted from the WordPress user database. And yes, it works regardless the time of user creation (even if the users are created much before ES activation or workflow generation).
Please note that the synchronization through Email Subscribers’ workflows is not two-way so changes made directly to the Email Subscribers will not be reflected in the WordPress user database.

You can resend confirmation emails to contacts individually. An option to send a confirmation email by multi-selecting users is on our roadmap.
Also, how would I know which have responded to the double opt-in and which didn’t
Contacts who haven’t verified their subscription are seen highlighted with the yellow status so you can easily identify and send them a confirmation email manually by clicking on the “Resend Confirmation” email
Please note that we offer multiple options to avoid spam subscriptions with our Starter and Pro plan and you are welcome to upgrade.

You can use the editor of your choice as per your convenience. The text editor lets you edit the raw HTML code of the template/email and the visual editor is for someone who likes to edit it visually.
