 * Since the subpages used to be visible with the same theme that is active now,
   I believe it does support menus with a depth greater than 1.
 * Any advice? I’m really stuck.

 * Multiple sub pages were accessible before. I would simply hover over an item,“
   News and Events” and then the subpages would appear. In fact, under “menu structure”,
   the organization of the menu remains exactly the same.
 * I even tried deleting the original item I added, hoping it would somehow revert
   back to the original, but no luck.
