 * Thanks, as far as I can tell, wp-config is correct – I connected with the db
with mysql workbench using the same credentials.
 * It appears that the permissions hadn’t been granted, but even after granting
full admin rights to the user, it still won’t connect.
 * Localhost is looking for (or can’t access the db -I can access the db through
the command line & mysql workbench, so why can’t localhost?). How can I tell
   where is it looking?
    Thanks

 * In case it helps any other newcomers, I found that my wife’s very easy to set
up blog is on WP.com. That explains why she didn’t have to install anything,
and why I was puzzled by there being no way to “get started” on the WP.org page,
   just the “download” button.

 * Iman, thanks. I couldn’t think of how to word the question to swearch for this
Last thing I want to do is break an expensive website!
 * We have 6 domains in our package, is it OK to install WP on on of the different
domains? – it looks to me that they’re all separate entities.
    Cheers.
