They will always be saved in the user data and in the order meta. (The plugin should do better here, but I needed to provide a quick fix for the WC 2.2+ version which changed storage). If you only want to save the data in the user meta and not in the order item meta, you check this box.

    Hola dsignbywp.

(Voy a responder en inglés si le parece bien, porque Marcelo Pedra tiene razón, hay que procurar que todo el mundo pueda participar. Si le resulta díficil comunicarse en inglés puede contactarme a través del formulario de contacto en la página web asociada.)

dsignweb is asking if the plugin could show captured custom field data on the my-account-page without the need to enter in edit mode. To answer the additional question of Marcelo Pedra: that’s more a feature request than a bug as the data is available backstage and on the customer’s my-account page. To show the data for all custom fields without the possibility to filter what to show, does not seem a good idea to me. I will see if I can offer a solution for this in one of the next updates.

    Hello Marcelo Pedra.

Billing and shipping fields are stored by WooCommerce by default in the user order meta but not in the order meta. This field allows you to maintain this behavior for your custom fields. Otherwise the data will be added as well to the order item meta not only to the customer data stored in the customer’s user meta. As many people use the plugin to capture data for the order and with the changes implemented in WooCommerce 2.2+, this was necessary to reflect the data in some scenarios.

    Hello ninja_dude.

I will have a look into this. Right now there no alternative presentation option, like the one you desire, available. I will try to provide a solution within one of the next updates.

    Hi
I’m working on true conditional support for wcrgsk but it’s not available in the current version.

    Hi tdzl.

Thanks for you feedback. The validation takes place on submit, not when entering the emails. Did you try to submit the form? Do you have other plugins enabled which alter the checkout process?

I’ve tested this, as always, and it works as expected on my test site.
If the email addresses do not match you should receive a message like the following:

“Email addresses do not match: snowwhite@punks.com : punks@snowwhite.com

It’s always better to open new threads for new question as other people may find answers to their questions this way.

Rich Guy allows you to attach item personalization forms. It’s conditional in the way that you decide which products show personalization forms and which not, if this is what you’re asking for, as I have some difficulties to understand your point.

Once again: Custom fields in the context of billing and shipping are stored in the user meta by default, you have the possibility to store them as well in the order meta.

Other data is not suitable for user meta, especially custom data captured in the context of product items is not suitable out of the box to be stored as user data.

To clarify things a bit more: when you talk of “number of products”, do you refer to different products or to quantities of a single product? In both cases: WooCommerce Rich Guys Swiss Knife allows you to personalize each individual product as well as all “quantities” of each product. If you have a dinner event and somebody places a reservation for 4 people for this dinner product you can capture data for each individual that sums up for the quantity of four (4). This includes all kind of data, you can even upload an individual image file for each of the party members.

    Hi makdas.

dl, dt and dd are part of the email implementation already present in WooCommerce for order-received emails in the context of meta data. I simply repeated the schema to display additional data captured for custom fields. You have the possibility to turn off the display of the custom data. I admit, that the process itself needs some more attention but it will take me a bit of time to offer a more consistent and versatile solution for this. Sorry.

    Hi kulavc3.

It’s stored by nature in the order and order item meta. The user meta is not the right place to overload with order and order item meta. I understand that you may have a need for this but your need is to sophisticated to make it into a general purpose plugin. That’s an integration problem.

The Rich Guy offers you the possibility to capture the data but it does not provide the means to push this into the user meta as data may be repeated… what’s the correct data if the user buys four items and you have item personalization that repeats the fields? That’s a n-to-1 data mapping situation. What’s the purpose? The Rich guy already allows you to create additional users in the context of a product item, what’s good for events, tickets: a customer books a event for four persons and you can attach a personalization form which allows you to capture the data for four participants with the option to create additional users.

Without any detailed background I don’t see, what I can do for you as the feature request is difficult to implement and useless for nearly everybody.

    Hello bennygill.

Localization is something implemented in WooCommerce. If a customer selects a billing or shipping country you can see how the billing and shipping form may change. State / Province input may disappear or change its required status for example. The option inside the plugin allows you to override the built-in WooCommerce behavior for this.

With WooCommerce 2.2+ there are some changes that the plugin may not handle at its best now. If you detect problems, please don’t hesitate to contact.

    Hello kulavc3.

You can specify where the data is stored. For billing and shipping WooCommerce stores by default now in the user meta. You can specify that the data is stored in the order meta also for custom fields.

The Rich Guy saves its product related data with the order and order item meta. What you do with this data is up to you. The plugin does not provide a possibility to register the data with the user meta. That’s out of the scope of the plugin as this is to specific. The plugins are called Swiss Knifes for some reason 🙂

    Hello JeanP.

You can set the offset for each custom date field which will override the global setting. Nevertheless, next update will include a fix for this.
