I had even reverted to an older version/revision from last week that worked and it still was not applying custom CSS. Seems like the CSS is being ignored completely. Never experienced a problem before with SiteOrigin on other sites so I am chalking it up to some change in 1.2.2 causing it. The actual data being entered into the CF7 form will be encrypted with TLS, but the email sent is not a secure channel at all. Without getting into certain email providers providing encryption between each other just don’t assume that your data is safe. Any other help you could offer? I had reverted back to 4.7 and it was again working properly. I found that I had to downgrade to 4.7 to get it working. So Something changed perhaps the removal of Stopped using jquery.form.js. in version 4.8 caused a problem, but that was before 4.9. Only way Contact form 7 works is on 4.7. You can try downgrading to 4.7 till the issue is fixed.
