 * No, nothing works. Maybe once in 15 tries, insert image works in FF, but is fine
   in IE.
 * On my other 2 blogs, it works fine in FF all the time.
 * I just don’t understand how this is possible 🙁

 * Thanks Otto, I’ll give it a try.
 * The weird thing is, it’s sporadic: It’ll work for one post, then not for the
   next. Inserting links will work, but images won’t etc.
 * It’s completely fine in IE though, so it has to be linked to FF, but as for why
   only on one blog out of 3 I don’t know…

 * I’ve tried the cache & full refresh with no effect.
 * Am I OK to re-upload the includes & admin files without running upgrade.php again?
   Or should I be more selective – i.e. just the javascript files?
 * Thanks.

 * I have tried all of these, and it’s not working. The thing is, it WAS working
   and then just stopped. I have 2 blogs with identical plugin configurations on
   the same host, same template etc. and one works, one doesn’t in adjacent tabs
   in the same FF browser.
 * What is going on? IE works fine as well, it’s just one blog that doesn’t….

 * I still don’t know, but I went into Tools/Advanced in FF2.0.1 to the Javascript
   options and checked the box that allows javascript to ‘raise/lower’ windows.
 * Fixed it for me.
 * HTH someone out there….

 * Well, a restart doesn’t fix it for me.
 * I posted 3 posts with images & links tonight fine. Subsequent posts won’t let
   me do it, a blank box just hangs around & won’t go away. I have to use the HTML
   editor to insert them.
 * Nothing changed, so what happened?

 * Me too on both the links & the images. Restart the browser fixes it does it?
   Cool.
 * A bug on WP or FF?

 * They’re all free hosts, that’s the clue.
 * I tried running blogs on 110mb & awardspace, gave up, went to ANHosting for all
   of $60 and it’s a revelation – you really have to do it.
 * The reason is simply down to the free hosts blocking certain server side actions
   which your plugins & widgets need to work – You can’t use akismet on Awardspace
   for example.
 * I’m just testing out WP 2.1 & some new themes on awardspace as I still have my
   old account, and I can’t edit the titles of the widgets for example – the dialog
   box is unclickable.
 * Go paid, you won’t regret it – I’ve made enough in 3 weeks of ‘paid posting’
   to cover 12 months hosting, so why not?

 * Why not?
 * I did it for the first time, heart in mouth, and it was really easy. Or is it
   a technical issue?

 * Find the link to it in the theme CSS file & delete it.
 * Right click on the image & view the properties to find out what it’s called.
 * Open the CSS file in Wordpad (Take a backup copy first) look for a line which
   says something similar to <img src=NAME OF IMAGE.gif or whatever.
 * Delete everything between the opening < and the closing > & nothing else!
 * Upload the new CSS file & have a look at the blog. If it’s screwed everything
   up, upload the backup CSS file & ask someone who knows what they’re talking about
   😉

 * Sorry, with regard to the bold, italic point, when you highlight text to format,
   DON’T include the final full stop (period) in the highlight. This will save the
   formatting running over into the next posts.

 * Paste them into Notepad, & then into WordPress. This removes the previous formatting.

 * This is the first time I’ve had to upgrade WP, and I’m a bit twitchy.
 * I’ve found Mark Asquith’s blog as well – will this quick method work for going
   from 2.0.5 to 2.0.6 as well? ie just uploading the required files & running upgrade.
   php?
 * I have never run a ‘diff’ patch in my life, and now is not a good time to start.
   The full upgrade instructions sound a bit like an invitation to disaster for
   me, so I like the sound of the route. Thanks.
