These cover pretty much all colors but I understand your frustration. You will need to disable this to fix the behavior you describe. * Due to the compression, the plugin is unable to read the requested data on the client and hence outputs gibberish. You can disable it in the htaccess file or perhaps your webhost provides turning this off from the dashboard itself.
