The point of a modal is to not leave the current screen! You’ve essentially made the modal WORTHLESS! I have a MIS Director on staff who is very busy with client items and has not had the time to rip apart this plugin. I just need to know if this one is doing something externally. I don’t want to cause further drama, the developer is a bit volatile. One of his emails to me was “please request a refund. I will accept it, so you are not annoying us anymore with your comments. We’re looking for a good chat platform( we’d actually like the option to have it admin facing as well for client websites for technical support, and I’m sure our Technology Director can finagle that), but I’m never keen on requiring staff log into a 3rd party website for management. I see you have desktop notifications and transcripts, which is fabulous. We’ll look more into it. Shortcode issue cropped up with v3.0. Went all the way back to 2.3 and weird shortened description thing and incorrect word count still exists. I’ll take the shortened descriptions and incorrect word count over the shortcode registering, I guess.
