 * Still seeing problems with 3.3.6 and WordPress 5.4.2
 * Upon entering password the page reloads but nothing changes. Users are still 
   presented with the password field.

 * Yes the shortcode is placed in a classic WYSIWYG field in Advanced Custom Fields.

 * I am also observing issues #1 and #3 on the 3.3.3 release. I’ve tried with and
   without ‘Deactivate Ajax and use page reload’ on. Cookies are on.
