 * I have finally found an answer to this problem. I recently purchased phpMyDirectory
   and so I asked my tech support Ben Johnson and he recommended that I change my
   hostname from localhost to my domain name and IT WORKED! I installed wordpress
   in less than 5 mintues. So, if you are in the market for a good directory with
   great tech support – visit his site. I hope you all can get on with your blog
   now!
