P.S. Is it the image size? Do we need to crop images and not use an image that is so tall? Shouldn’t the viewport be responsive to any screen so that everything in the slider fits in the screen of the device viewing it?
Here is a screenshot of the home page hero area: https://nimb.ws/gajLIb
This is taken from a 13″ MacBook PRO at 100%.
The URL is https://devuhhm.wpengine.com – It’s the home page hero slider.
The setting is 16:9 with a minimum height of 460, but I jsut set it down to 320 to check to see if that would change anything, but it did not.
Okay, this isn’t a flaw in the plugin. It’s a flaw in JetPack Email share. I learned more about it here: https://www.journeybytes.com/jetpack-email-share-button-spam/
In WP Engine, you have to set a Web Rule to DENY the Query string from all IPS after turning off the mail share setting for JetPack in your WordPress.com Dashboard.
Once you do that, set the Web Rule or a Firewall Rule to block requests to:
I’ve contacted WP Engine and they are blocking the Chines and Russian IP ranges of the nefarious actors, but I am still wondering if this is a flaw in the plugin or an issue with JetPack share.
I did find this in muy access logs. It looks like the post is being shared by email and is being run through my WP MAIL SMTP connection to Googlw Workspace email.

The Prime Slider widget specifically. The hero area needs to fit the viewport and not extend below the viewport. If I set an image in the slider, I want to see the entire image loaded in the browser above the fold. I don’t want the image to extend down so you have to scroll to see the call to action. Is this just cropping the image or is there some way to set the height of the slider so that it always fits the viewport and does not extend down.
Yes, we did that. I suggest an option for a background behind all the text in a future update. Having individual backgrounds for each element is fine, but some people are not going to want that.
