I have my own virtual host. * I switched wp-cron off in the config and by invoking wp-cron.php manually it seems to work. Except pingbacks to articles on the same blog, but I could live with that. Seems like there must be some kind of queue. Meanwhile I can at least receive them. This already worked when I moved the plugins folder to another place before the new install.
