 * We’re having the same issue as described above – with the additional quirk that
   we’re not able to remove the succes message (clicking on the “X” doesn’t seem
   to be doing anything).
 * And the above data entries seem to be completely missing in our database … we
   only have
    - wp_statistics_plugin_version
    - wp_statistics_db_version
    - wp_statistics
    - widget_wp_statistics_widget
    - wp_statistics_check_useronline
    - wp_statistics_overview_page_ads
    - wp_statistics_referrals_detail
    - wp_statistics_disable_addons

 * problem is that with WP 3.9 there’s a new version of TinyMCE, and qtranslate
   isn’t prepared to deal with that, leading to an editor breakdown that doesn’t
   allow for further changes in posts & pages… so just adding a new version number
   doesn’t help when updating to 3.9…

 * sorry for my reposting this here, but such a fork project does exist, it’s called
   mqtranslate… the authors of mq are way quicker in responding to issues than qtranslate
   and functionality is basically the same, with a few goodies thrown in 😀
    and
   migration from qtranslate to mqtrans is easily manageable via a nifty import-
   function 😉

 * sorry for reposting this, but for me, the most viable and effective option was
   to use mqtranslate, a fork of the main qtranslate project… the authors of mq
   are way quicker in responding to issues than qtranslate and functionality is
   basically the same, with a few goodies thrown in 😀
    and migration from qtranslate
   to mqtrans is easily manageable via a nifty import-function 😉

 * hi there,
    mqtranslate is a development fork of the original plugin, made & supported
   by someone like you (not me, I’m just a fan of mqtrans 😉 ) who has been annoyed
   with the kinks and hiccups the regular version brings with it. It’s compatible,
   but different – but migration from the original to the fork version is very easy.
   mqtranslate evolved into something more adapted to the needs of WP 3.9, therefore
   it’s different from the original, but – at least for me – the original broke
   all my current installations of WP, that’s why I switched.
 * Don’t get me wrong, I personally do think Qian Qin has done a marvelous job when
   first introducing the qtranslate plugin and concept, but since he apparently
   does not really keep track of current developments in regards to upgradeability,
   the larger step WP has taken from 3.8.x to 3.9 by updating TinyMCE and the repercussions
   this would have for qtranslate, I decided to try out the dev fork which is mqtrans,
   a well-supported fork project that actually works with even the newest frills
   of WP. And in case there’s problems, the actual adaptor will most likely be in
   touch within a day or two, at least to my experience 🙂

 * brilliant, thanks for your quick response – I managed to fix the problem on my
   side by activating the required checkboxes, but I suppose I wouldn’t be the only
   one grateful for a directly-implemented solution 😉
 * again, thanks for all the work you put into this project, it vastly outperforms
   the original!

 * Hi zourbuth,
 * thanks for your quick reply – seems like Super Post and qtranslate didn’t get
   along with each other after the 3.9 update… after a bit of research I found out
   that the real problem actually is qtranslate and then, when adding Super Post
   on the top of it, almost nothing would show up in the frontend any more … 🙂

   My apologies, Super Post is a great tool, thanks for your fast & reliable support!

 * what might also help is to check if one of those access modes is enabled:
 * > A HTTP request method supported by WordPress enabled on your server: cURL,
   > fopen with Streams (PHP 5), or fsockopen. Optional: OAuth enabled on your server.

 * Hi there,
    also had that problem with zotpress, wouldn’t connect to the zotero
   library no matter what…
 * what actually helped and might easily be applied on server-side is to** turn
   off PHP Safe Mode**, an outdated feature existing in older PHP versions, but
   deprecated/removed by the most up-to-date installs… this really helped, and afterwards,
   imports and syncing would go smooth as butter 🙂
 * check [http://www.php.net/manual/en/features.safe-mode.php](http://www.php.net/manual/en/features.safe-mode.php)
   for further information…
