 * 🙂 you were on a role, I know I get that way when someone gives me something
interesting. Thanks for that! It does seem to work. As a temp solution of course.
I’ll await word from them. Can I share this link from you to TEC team or at the
github listing to maybe help the other person looking for a solution? I don’t
want to confuse or change things on the TEC end for a solution within their addon

 * Thanks for the prompt reply! I’ll pass this along to the support person at Event
Tickets right now via email. Hopefully this helps them.
   So currently, there is
no way to add multiple levels, until they modify the Members Only Tickets add
   on?

 * Godaddy has more restrictions with their wordpress managed hosting so it is possible.
A tech told me changes to the wp-config should work though. So hopefully the
edit I just did will work. We will have to wait to see as they do not allow downgrading
wordpress. I can use an old backup from within 30 days but that would negate
   other changes to the site.
 * That wp-config edit will not disable minor updates though, right?
 * And how does the plugin disable things if not in wp-config?
 * I hope the wp-config edit will work but I was hoping the plugin would be easier
for the client to manage for the future.

 * Yep…I checked that and nothing looks to be overriding it and I just manually
   added
 * define( ‘WP_AUTO_UPDATE_CORE’, false );
 * to the wp-config.php file. So hopefully that will prevent future core updates
   and allow minor updates.
 * The site was really effected when it changed from 4.4 to 4.5 so they wanted an
easy way to manage updates on their own manually. Nothing seems changed with
4.6 so that can stay but just want to avoid automatic future updates until they
   can be tested.
 * Do you think that the godaddy wordpress managed hosting ignores this plugin?
They did say that a client can change the wp-config, which I did. I was just
looking for a plugin like this that the client could manage easier. How does
   your plugin work to disable?

 * Thanks for the reply. And yep…that was the first thing I double checked to see
if someone changed the settings but they are still set for Major Releases checked
as Disabled and the Minor Releases checked as Enabled in the General tab in Update
   Options and under Automatic Updates.

 * Sendpress was working fine for me for over a year and now I am having a similar
issue with all email links going to a url like yours, The Bean, and just a message
saying “write error.” This happens with all links, even the unsubscribe links
and such. I started a thread here but thought I’d add this here in case you knew
how it was resolved for you and that can hopefully help me. I also tried updating
   sendpress and still same issue.
 * After trying other suggestions found in other threads I still have the problem.
Though what worked was simply going to permalinks in settings and not changing
anything but just hitting save anyway and the email links are now working. Hope
   that helps others.

 * Thanks. That works. Then I should be able to go in and alter the styling.

 * I updated and tested it and it sent the correct email confirmation list that
the person joined and not a post. So looks like the update fixed it for me. Below
is what the email confirmation sent correctly this time
 * [email@email.com](https://wordpress.org/support/users/timshadow3/replies/email@email.com?output_format=md)
has subscribed to your list “News and Events List”

 * I am having the same issue that ontguy had. I am using the latest version 0.9.6.3
and wordpress version 3.6.1. Everything works and a subscriber is added to the
proper list, I only have one list, when I look in the admin panel under lists
and subscribers but the only thing that is weird is the confirming email to me,
the admin, when a subscriber is added shows a recent post I made on the website,
not the list they joined. The text of the email is below.
 * [email@email.com](https://wordpress.org/support/users/timshadow3/replies/email@email.com?output_format=md)
has subscribed to your list “Halloween Costume Game”
 * I updated the permalinks when the double opt-in confirming email link to the
subscriber was not going to the right page and that resolved that issue. Is this
a permalink issue as well? It’s not a big deal as long as everything else works,
but I just want to try and fix it.
