 * Yoast SEO was the culprit.

 * Yes. I hadn’t accessed my site for some time and updated about 15 plugins all
   at once. Is there a way to undo all of those updates?
 * After the problem started, I also updated to version WordPress 4.8, hoping it
   would solve my problem. No luck.
 * Have I just made everything worse?
 * The bizarre thing is that my home page still has all the widgets operating properly(
   except the header). I don’t understand why I can’t view these settings.
