@mrfoxtalbot You have no idea how grateful I am! I would not in a millions years have found this myself 😊
Thanks!
Ps I will open a seperate support thread next time!
@mrfoxtalbot Thanks so much! I was able to remove the overlay from featured images but I cannot find the featured image on the homepage… Weird but true. This is what I can see (print screen)

@mrfoxtalbot would you be so kind as to tell me where I can find this? I checked from wp dashboard and also from the content block on the page itself but I don’t see the option… Would be greatly appreciated! 🤩 (I am currently in theme twenty twenty-three)

In reply to: Twenty Twenty-Four: where is my ‘main page’ ?Thanks for your reply!
I’m really not… the main domain uses blossom pin, but this sub domain doesn’t. I checked the code, it does say 2024. So I am not sure what goes wrong there… When you checked, 25 min ago, it was Hestia.
I have now put 2024 back although it makes me extremely anxious because all there is to see is… ‘empty template: home’ 🙁
If you know of anything that I can do it’s much appreciated!!

In reply to: Twenty Twenty-Four: where is my ‘main page’ ?I’ve managed to make matters worse. I now get a ‘empty template: home page’ on the live website.
I have put the homepage in static page (home).
I have uninstalled 2024 and reinstalled it. Unfortunately that didn’t work either.
Also I have added a Twenty Twenty-Four child theme. Weirdly enough wp reads that child theme as a 2023 child theme… and support that. But not 2024… 🙁

In reply to: Twenty Twenty-Four: where is my ‘main page’ ?@gappiah thanks for your reply.
it’s true, apparently I have messed in a sample page (screen shot: first one). However I did save it… Could find it yesterday, today it is gone. Hope it is still retrievable because a lot of work went into it.
The theme is odd; just this morning I moved the wp installation to the sub domain https://www.life-coaching.timhupkes.com Before it was on https://www.timhupkes.com/life_coaching I had installed a fresh wp for this one, and chose the 2024 theme.
However when I check the code it is twenty twenty-four..? (I did not use a child yet, bad I know but I will get to that shortly)

In reply to: [Twenty Seventeen] Twenty Seventeen: full width screen… how?@zoonini Thanks so much for your reply! It’s true, the sidebar now has my newsletter. I changed my mind about getting the whole thing 100% wide when I realised I should get that newsletter to the front more. So I am happy with the way things are now…
Thanks for your solution though! It is good to keep it in mind in case I change that again, which no doubt will happen at some stage or another.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Shipping classes cannot be assigned to each variety@xue28 Thanks so much for your response. I was desperate, but when you said it was impossible to copy my situation I got hope.
I threw everything out and started from scratch. It all works now!
Thanks again!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Shipping classes cannot be assigned to each variety@anastas10s Thanks for your reaction.
Unfortunately.
This is precisely what I have been trying. It does not work. They all get the same shipping class, no matter how often I adjust it on variation level.Furthermore all shipping methods are available to the customer to choose from. This is not okay; they can choose the cheapest option for the most expensive shipping method.
Is there a way to fix these 2 issues?

@danielinhou Thanks for your reply.
I went to ‘subscribers’. Could not find test subscriber. I deleted all the subscriptions I had added and tried again, now choosing ‘Nederlands’ (Dutch) as my language.
I still cannot see this on the back-end.
I have put a print screen online, it is here:

However, I tried it to see if it works, I deliberately chose ‘Nederlands’ instead of ‘English’ but that is not visible for me at the backend, so I won’t be able to see which language the subscriber wants their newsletter in.
Is there something I can do to make that happen?
Thanks!
