When I used to try it on that other WordPress website basic interface with logo and note “No upcoming concerts or festivals” appeared. I set up newsletter list at MailChimp and configured newsletter plugin with correct API key and List ID along with form. The checkbox“ Prevent double opt-in” is unchecked. When I test it I can put whatever email ( that is not listed at MailChimp – the list there is empty) and submit it with correct form behavior (feedback alert about succesful submitting) but any email is added to the MailChimp list and any feedback email about subscription arrives.
