I have confirmed that the latest version did indeed correct the issue.
Thank you
Here is a link showing the output when Modify Schema Output is used
and here is a link showing the output when Auto-Fetch is used
Thanks
Based upon the outputs that I am seeing, review was removed from the output for products. This is now causing another Warning from Google. I went into the Default Values setup and checked Product Default Review. This put the review back in, however, the original Invalid object type for field “author” comes back. Please provide a complete fix.
I went back and clicked Restore to Auto Fetch then changed the values(Brand) as needed. After I resaved, I am getting the same warning as BenLinders. Missing field “review”
My products do not have reviews and I am still getting the warning. Here is an example product: https://www.thepuzzlecollections.com/product/ravensburger-disney-collectors-edition-pinocchio-1000-piece-puzzle/
I have provided the output below.

I see no difference in the markup outputted. I ran the test in Google Search console on the resaved product and it is being flagged for the same exact issue.
Yes, please provide a fix. It appears that the schema for the author property has been updated to include type.
Here is another thread describing the issue.
