 * Anyway, I updated to the new version, and then I was able to turn on the Smart
   PayPal Buttons again.

 * I just noticed the problem today. I think it happened earlier this weekend.
 * I see that there is a pull request here:

 * I assume that means there will be a new update to the plug-in soon.
 * I’ll just keep my smart buttons off until then.

 * I have experienced this same problem. I didn’t notice it until a customer pointed
   it out. Luckily, I also had Stripe enable, and people were using that instead.
 * I tried some things, and UNCHECKING “Use Smart Payment Buttons” fixed the problem
   for me.
 * I would prefer to use the smart payment buttons, but I would even MORE prefer
   to have a button at all. For now, I’ll keep the Smart Payment Buttons turned 
   off, but I’d like to know if/when they work again.
