    Nevermind. I had multiple databases in SQL, and I removed that line from the wrong one. Once I looked in wp-config.php to identify the correct database, I removed prli_db_version and it’s working again. Old ones seem to be lost though. Oh well.

    I guess the new question would be: “Where Can I find old links stored?” I can look through backups to see if I still needed anything.

    Yeah, not so much. Link below has three screenshots for the 3 new options. “None” is the only one that still works Mac Firefox. No Lightbox actually seen, only the broken thumbnails and tiny video like the screenshots suggest.

    I also created a test video and page. This works fine in my regular website. Once I set it to one of the new options, the display gets screwy and Thumbnail gives me double art. Mac and PC did the same thing. Nothing I tried actually gave me any Lightboxes, just broken Artwork/Display.

    Thanks. I am not sure how much you need to add in that Quick Edit box, but as I mentioned, I went through 100+ videos one by one, just to ensure that Autoplay was set to None. Pain in the a$$.

    After some testing, I’ve narrowed the bug down to the Flowplayer Plugin and the Configuration option of “Autoplay” using either Metadata or Auto. This needs to be set to None for all videos on the page, and then it behaves in Chrome as expected.

    If either Metadata or Auto are selected, then videos will never let the page finish loading, and there is a fair chance that the Artwork will not be displayed for one or more videos, leaving a blank grey box with three white dots. There is also a chance that it will simply say that the video can not be found. Reloading the page will give similar results, but will choose different videos to complain about.

    This was definitely a Mac Chrome issue, and I think PC Chrome did the same thing as well. But after going through a hundred videos and checking the settings for each (please add more options to the batch functionality), everything seems to be working as expected.

    Absolutely, that would be a wonderful addition. I’ve just been through re-coding my entire website fixing the core full screen issue on Macs (that required the lightbox). So while it sucks that I just finished fixing on my side, I would offer the solution is not visually appealing, and I would happily re-code the pages that required this change.

    Ulrich, if you could complete the Lightbox function, that would solve a huge problem for Mac users. As I said, Full Screen currently takes over both monitors. If you could put Lightbox into this plugin, It could them grow to the size of the browser, and that would let the user decide how big to make it. For software educational videos (like mine), that would be amazing.

    6 month later followup: I had a coder properly look at the original issue, and fixed it per suggestions above. However, like Kirah, I experience the same 1st video loop.

    Personally, I just gave up and listed all the (software tutorial) videos individually. The issue then came from Mac vs. PC. I originally made Tiny 300×200 thumbnails to click on, expecting people to go full screen.

    PC would go full screen of browser window (as desired). Mac unfortunately goes full screen and blacks out the other monitor. Then the viewers could not follow along in their own software while watching my video. I was forced to make 640×480 thumbnails, and after listing like 10+ videos per page, it’s quite overbearing.

    I have no solution to see small thumbnails, with video titles (preferably with descriptions as well), and have it play in it’s own window. I even tried a Lightbox that accepts HTML code, but it didn’t know what to make of the Flowplayer plugin code.

    Yes, that video link goes full screen and covers both my monitors, which is exactly NOT what I want it to do.

    You mention as CCS Switch. But of course, I have no clue on what to type, or where to put it. I am css illiterate. 🙁

    That’s why building it in, and giving a simple checkbox is always the best way.

    Thanks Ulrich. I’ll have someone look into it.

    Is there a way to disable the triangle play button that overlays the video? I use thumbnails that have a big ghosted one embedded. The one with the plugin overlaps my white text, making it hard to read.

    It’s on automatic right now. If I uncheck that box, and put on the code, it stops working. So, me first question was if that code was correct? Or if there is some alteration I should be using instead.

    Thanks, I learned something new today, never heard of the term minify before, as I am not a coder. I put code into Admin.css, minified and put into admin.min.css and it’s working fine now. Thank you.

    Now if I could just figure out why your code works on osx/firefox, where everything else I have tried fails, I would be all set.

    Thread Starter TheArtofRetouching

    (@theartofretouching)

    I had copied the 381 lines of code, and replaced the admin.css file code, that I easily found. However, Yoast still looked the same.

    While I get the concept, I just don’t know enough about finding css problems and replacing code to competently fix it myself.

    Screenshot of this Flowplayer Plugin messing up the code for Yoast SEO. I have also let them know about it. When I disable yours, theirs returns to normal.

    Without a Video SEO Sitemap, Google does may know I have a video on the page, but it does not know what thumbnail to use, or how long the video is. When there is one, it shows an icon in the google searches, with a time attached. Just like they do for YouTube videos.

    Your plugin places all the video information in the SQL database, so it only translates when the page is created. None of the Video Sitemap Plugins I tried will even know there is a video.

    With the code above placed in, and 3 lines in the header, I am able to display the correct information for the Sitemap to do it’s thing.

    Here is the funny part though. At this point, I have 99% no need for your plugin anymore, as disabling it still allows for Flowplayer to work on nearly every browser I have thrown at it, even mobiles.

    However, it simply wont display on Mac with Firefox, unless I enable your plugin too. While this sounds amazingly strange, I have the same bug when using VideoJS. It started with one of these “automatic” updates, most likely WordPress going to 3.8 I think it was. Suddenly, my entire site broke, and I was scrambling around tying to find the cause and solution.

    I liked your plugin, and liked the clean code in the post, and very easy to teach an assistant to do this, but without any SEO support, it’s kind of a killer to me. I tried to get Yoast to suppoort, but they just shrugged at me. Bummer.

    Nevermind. The code below fixes it. I can now use Video SEO Sitemaps. But please note: Your plugin seems to conflict with Yoast SEO CSS in the Admin panel, and makes theirs unreadable.

    <style>
    #css-poster {
    background: #000 url(/path/to/image.jpg) 0 0 no-repeat;
    background-size: 100%;
    -webkit-transition: background 1s .5s;
    -moz-transition: background 1s .5s;
    }
    #css-poster.is-poster {
    background-size: 100%;
    }
    </style>
    <div [flowplayer] id=”css-poster” data-ratio=”0.532″ class=”flowplayer minimalist” ><video preload=”auto”><source type=”video/mp4″ src=”/path/to/test.mp4″>
    </video></div>
