It only happens when I use PressThis to bring an image into the Media Library when I create a post. Somehow it adds -1 to the image file name. I had a plugin for WordPress which seemed to work and had a nice pop up window with the categories included too. Very handy. It was an old plugin, years abandoned. I thought it worked but it did everything except actually add the link. * I also had the bookmarklet through the Link Library plugin which I had been using. That still works, even with the sites I uninstalled the plugin from. So for now I will use that. I’d be glad to have the bookmarklet with the Restore plugin so I know the code will keep updated with whatever changes come along for WordPress. * To someone who knows code it must sound kind of silly/ stupid even. All the files had an error and were file not found. I’ve been using it for years so I do know it’s in Tools. * I would like to use the Link Manager (restored) to add links to my **links/ blogroll**( not posts). I think it has something to do with the way the images are linked in the code of the post. A plugin had added code to my thaccess files. I’ll do that. I run the same theme on all my sites and this is the only one having problems. I use GeneratePress (made in Vancouver, BC) and the support is very good and quick to reply back, like yourself. How long do you think developers will continue adding time and energy for free if they get told off when they limit the free support they donate? I thought leaving this forum for people to help each other was a good idea. * WordPress is free because people are making money from it in other ways. The days of the free Internet are gone. * Plugin developers create free or free versions so people can still use WordPress, with a lot of great options and features, freely. * I do pay for some of the plugins and themes I use as well. I’m careful about choosing which plugins I support because I do have a tiny budget and my sites don’t make money. I pay when I can because I want to support WordPress and the developers. I also leave reviews for plugins which worked great and I try to only leave constructive feedback when something doesn’t work for me. This is also supporting WordPress in ways which only cost me a little time but can add back and help developers too. * WordPress theme and plugin developers won’t keep coming back if they don’t get the very support from us which we hope to find from them. To leave a comment like yours is not going to work out well for the WordPress community in the long run. How long will the community spirit and generousity last if the WordPress community slams them for not doing enough? It’s not for you to decide how much they contribute to WordPress. Just as it’s not up to anyone else how much you do or do not pay for plugins and themes. We have the freedom to choose our options– because we still have the options.
