 * finally i have it installed and up and running but what a lot of screwing around
   maybe me maybe the programme or the instucions, I had a lot of error calls and
   that turned out to be files in the wrong place and the wrong (old) path. Moved
   files left path =ok. error establishing contact with DB. silly little things 
   in the script mainly from the secret phrase stuff. ie too many ( ‘) single quotes
   from phrased generated by the wordpress phrase generator and probably copied 
   an extra single quote and also left one on the line when i deleted the instruction.
   
   So now how do i restore my old files to the new version. I have the backed up
   files on my desktop in .gz

 * hi stephen
    i upgraded perm to 0755 and upgrade.php is in wp-admin. I seem to
   have a strange stucture. Under public-html is wordpress and then under that is
   wp-admin and that is where the upgrade.php is. Should all this be in Public-html.
   I did have to move all the files from the wordpress file to the public-html file.

 * when i try to go to the suggested link i get a 404 not found response
